Terms and Conditions for Participation in the Contest


NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER. 

A SKILL-TESTING QUESTION IS REQUIRED. 

Skill-testing Question:  Multiply 6 by 3, then add 7.


1. Organizer

The organization and management of the draw is the responsibility of Saunders Tremblay Realty Team, with address at 901 Victoria St N, Kitchener, Ontario N2B 3C3.

2. Eligibility

  • The contest is open to residents of Ontario who have reached the age of majority in Ontario by the contest draw date and who meet the requirements specified in the draw publication on Instagram and Facebook. 
  • Winners must show proof of residence that they live within a 60-mile/100-kilometre radius of Kitchener-Waterloo. Any participants outside of this geographic area will be disqualified.
  • One entry per household.
  • Void where prohibited by law.
  • Saunders Tremblay Realty Team (STRT) members and immediate family members, as well as STRT's subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, exclusive partners (lawyers, home inspectors videographers, mortgage agents, home stagers, and insurance brokers) freelancers, casual contractors, and advertising and promotion agencies are ineligible to participate in the contest/giveaway.

3. Agreement to Rules

By entering the contest, participants agree to abide by the Organizer’s Official Rules and decisions. The Organizer has the right to refuse, withdraw, or disqualify entries at their sole discretion. The participant agrees to accept the decision of the Organizer as final and binding.

4. Entry Period

The participation period for the draw begins on December 2nd, 2024, and ends on December 23rd, 2024. Entries received outside this period will not be considered for the draw.

5. Draw Mechanics

To participate in the draw, participants must follow these instructions:

  • Follow the Organizer's Instagram account.
  • "Like" the giveaway post.
  • Tag two friends in the comments of the post.

Any fraudulent methods of entry or circumvention of the rules may result in the Organizer invalidating a participant’s entries.

6. Prizes

  • A selection of prizes will be announced on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during the month of December for an accumulation of 10 prizes.
  • The prize is personal and non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for its cash value.
  • Prize #1: Champagne Brunch for Two at Golf’s Steakhouse & Sea Food Restaurant, Kitchener. Donor: Golf’s Steakhouse.
  • Prize #2: Designer Bracelet. Donor: Anonymous.
  • Prize #3: Gift Basket from Big Stooley’s World Sauces & Rubs. Donor: Big Stooley’s.
  • Prize #4: $100 Gift Certificate to the Waters Urban Spa Retreat. Donor: Bethany Gradwell, Momumental Mortgages.
  • Prize #5: Will and Power-of-Attorney. Donor: Schaffer and Schaffer Professional Corporation.
  • Prize #6: $100 Gift Certificate for Brown’s Socialhouse. Donor: Jim Steffler Mortgages.
  • Prize #7: $100 Gift Certificate for Haircut. Donor: Cassidy Ecker, Roca Beauty Bar.
  • Prize #8: Pair of Tickets to Blue Rodeo at Centre in the Square, Kitchener. Donor: Travers Law.
  • Prize #9: Mark Scheifele Winnipeg Jets Signed NHL Jersey. Donor: Michael J. Schmidt, Schmidt Law Office Professional Corporation.
  • Prize #10: 4 Courtside Tickets for KW Titans. Donor: KW Titans.
  • Acceptance of the prize grants the Organizer permission to use the Winners entry, name, and likeness for advertising, promotion, and trade without further compensation or remuneration unless prohibited by law.

7. Selection and Notification of the Winner

  • The winner will be chosen randomly by the Organizer using the Rafflys (AppSorteos) platform from all participants who have met the draw requirements. 
  • The winner will be required to answer a skill-testing question. 
  • The winner will be announced on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday through a post on Instagram and Facebook. 
  • The participants MUST live within a 60-mile/100-kilometre radius of Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. Any participants outside of that geographic area will be disqualified.
  • The Organizer is not liable for the winner’s failure to receive notification of winning.

8. Odds

The odds of winning are dependent upon the number of eligible entries received.

9. Communication with the Winner and Prize Delivery

  • The winner may contact the Organizer within a period of 7 days from the date it is announced on the brand's social profile. If such contact is not made within the stipulated period the prize will be forfeited, and another winner will be announced. 
  • Winners must show proof that they reside within a 60-mile/100-kilometre radius of Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. Any participants outside of that geographic area will be disqualified.

10. Treatment of Personal Data

The personal data provided by the participants will be processed by the Organizer in accordance with the provisions of the applicable regulations on the protection of personal data.

11. Modifications and Cancellation of the Draw

The Organizer reserves the right to make modifications to these legal terms at any time, provided that they do not harm the participants' rights. Likewise, the Organizer reserves the right to cancel or postpone the draw in case of force majeure or unforeseen circumstances that make it necessary.

12. Liability

The participant’s entry into this contest constitutes his or her agreement to release and hold harmless (a) Saunders Tremblay Realty Team and (b) RE/MAX Twin City Realty Inc. and (c) the prize sponsors and the aforementioned companies’ respective subsidiaries, affiliates, employees against all claims, liability, illness, injury, death, loss, etc., that occurs directly or indirectly from participation in the contest or use/misuse of the awarded prize.

13. Acceptance of the Legal Terms

Participation in the draw implies full and unconditional acceptance of these legal terms. Failure to comply with any of the rules or requirements set forth in these legal terms will result in the participant's exclusion from the draw at the sole discretion of the Organizer.

14. Terms & Conditions

The Organizer reserves the right to modify, suspend, cancel or terminate in the event that non-authorized human intervention, a bug or virus, fraud, or other causes beyond their control impact or corrupt the security, fairness, proper conduct, or administration of the contest/giveaway. The Organizer has the right to disqualify anyone who violates the terms, in addition to having the rights to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law in cases where a participant has caused deliberate damage or undermined the legal operation of the promotion.

15. Social Media Platform Rules

The Countdown to Christmas Prize Giveaway hosted by Saunders Tremblay Realty Team is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram. Participants (a) fully release and hold Meta and Instagram harmless from liability, and (b) acknowledge that the promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta or Instagram.

16. Affirmation of Acceptance of and Agreement to All of the Official Rules

By entering the contest, the entrant has affirmatively reviewed, accepted, and agreed to all of the Official Rules.
